Despite some drizzles, the fifth annual Woodstock Gives Back, held Sunday, September 8, 2019, was a great success. There was a high rate of participation among businesses in the district, which encompasses portions of both Woodstock and Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhoods. Each participating business supported their charity of choice in their own unique way.
Whether a dental office raising money for the free dental clinic, a restaurant collecting food for the food bank, or a hair salon cutting off ponytails (only by request!!) to have wigs made for cancer patients, businesses were creative and gave from their hearts to causes they cherish. Giving businesses this opportunity to raise awareness about their favorite causes is a big part of Woodstock Gives Back.
As in past years, the 2019 event featured lots of fun hands-on activities and giveaways for kids of all ages, as well as demonstrations, special sales and promotions.
This year, drinking and dining establishments got to participate by donating a percentage of profits from the evening prior to the main event.
